Job summary

AES Corporation is offering a Fall 2027 engineering co-op with AES Ohio Substation Engineering. You will work with staff engineers on substation design, including layouts, one-line diagrams, and protection schematics.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, with Sophomore or higher standing. CAD and MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil).
• Academic standing of Sophomore or higher preferred.
• CAD software and MS Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of 12kV–345kV substations, including layouts and diagrams.
• Help produce detailed engineering design packages per AES Ohio standards.
• Support staff engineers and complete supervisor-determined tasks.
