Job summary

AES Indiana is offering a Summer 2027 Substation Engineering Co-op within the AES Substation Engineering team. The intern will work with staff engineers to perform substation design and system protection-related analysis, gaining practical experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, with Sophomore status or higher, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) preferred.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Sophomore status or higher preferred.
• Strong academic background with attention to detail and good organization/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist substation engineering analysis and design work related to system protection and substation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with staff engineers on substation projects to gain engineering experience.
• Support engineering tasks for AES Indiana transmission and distribution systems.
