Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Substation Construction Electrical Apprentice to join our Transmission and Distribution Services Team in Virginia. You will assist in building and maintaining substations, working with heavy equipment, and adhering to safety standards.

The role requires reading prints, strong communication, and the ability to work in energized environments. A high school diploma or GED is required, with CDL preferred and eligibility for background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years as an Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician.
• Completion of an accredited Substation Apprentice Program or verifiable work experience as an Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician.
• Clean driving record; Class A CDL preferred.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation construction and maintenance.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, skidsteers, backhoes, boom trucks and other equipment.
• Adhere to state, local, OSHA standards and safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate with customers, owners, contractors and agencies.
• Maintain company equipment in safe and efficient condition.
