Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Substation Construction Electrical Apprentice to join the Transmission and Distribution Services Team. The role involves hands-on work in substation construction and maintenance on-site with safety and regulatory compliance a top priority.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as an Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician or completion of an accredited Substation Apprentice Program, along with a clean driving record and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Substation Apprentice Program or verifiable journeyman experience.
• 5+ years of experience as an Apprentice/Journeymen Electrician.
• Clean driving record; CDL class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation construction and maintenance, including foundations, buswork, and grounding.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, backhoes, skidsteers, and boom trucks.
• Follow state, local, DOT, and OSHA standards and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate with customers, property owners, utility representatives, and agencies.
• Maintain company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
