Job summary

The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in electric substation work, effective communication skills, and a clean driving record. Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience as an Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician.
• Clean driving record, Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
• Must be able to pass a skills assessment at start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation construction and maintenance with minimal to no supervision.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment.
• Supervise crew in Foreman’s absence.

Skills

Effective communication skills

Ability to read and interpret prints and plans

Utility Substation and Transmission Line Switching & Tagging experience

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of an accredited Substation Apprentice Program
