Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Substation Construction Electrician to join our T&D Services team. The role involves construction and maintenance of electrical substations, operating heavy equipment, and adherence to safety standards.

You will read prints, follow DOT/OSHA rules, and coordinate with customers and utilities. Requires a high school diploma or GED, and potential completion of a Substation Apprentice Program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as an Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Substation Apprentice Program or verifiable work experience as an
• Ability to read and interpret prints and plans.
• Experience in energized substations and ability to distinguish energized live parts.
• Utility Substation and Transmission Line Switching & Tagging experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds.
• Must pass a skills assessment at start of employment.
• All applicants may need to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation construction and maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, skidsteers, backhoes, excavators, boom trucks and other equipment.
• Follow state DOT and OSHA standards and ensure safety.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation of services.
• Communicate with customers, property owners, utilities and agencies.
• Maintain company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
