Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineering Technician – Substation to support engineering and design teams. The role emphasizes developing and modifying technical deliverables using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to produce accurate drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate preferred and Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes and BV policies and procedures.
• May review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.
• Proactively applies BV Quality Program to deliverables.
• Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
