Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Summer 2027 Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Substation group and contribute to high-voltage design and project deliverables. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a collaborative consulting environment.

You will work on substation design (69kV–500kV), protection and control, and potential site visits, with opportunities to continue internship based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with coursework in power systems is required.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are emphasized.
• Must be available to work full-time during Summer 2027 at one of our office locations; hybrid work may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams with high-voltage substation design (69kV–500kV).
• Assist in preparing drawings, calculations, and documentation for deliverables.
• Receive mentorship to align tasks with project schedules and client expectations.
• Participate in internal design reviews, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Potential site visits to support field data collection and gain real-world exposure.
