Job summary

Ulteig is seeking Substation Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to join the Substation Department. You will gain hands-on experience in high‑voltage substation design and protection/controls, while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative consulting environment.

You will work with engineering teams, prepare drawings and calculations, and participate in reviews and trainings. Hybrid work arrangements may be available, and authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a consulting environment.
• Electrical engineering coursework related to power systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support high‑voltage substation design tasks (69kV-500kV) and protection and control.
• Assist in creating drawings, calculations, and documentation for project deliverables.
• Receive mentorship and complete tasks aligned with project schedules and client expectations.
• Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Potential site visits to support field data collection and observe real‑world infrastructure.
• Contribute to designs for utility and renewable energy clients.
