Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Substation Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join the Substation Department. You will gain hands-on experience in high‑voltage substation design, from 69kV to 500kV, and learn from experienced engineers in a collaborative consulting environment.

You will support engineering teams with drawings, calculations, and documentation, participate in design reviews and trainings, and may have site visits.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least two years of coursework by Summer 2027.
• Strong communication and attention to detail; eager to learn.
• Full-time availability Summer 2027 at one of Ulteig's office locations; hybrid possible.

Responsibilities

• Support design assignments for high‑voltage substation projects.
• Assist in preparing drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Receive mentorship and meet project schedules and client expectations.
• Participate in design reviews, meetings, and trainings.
• Potential site visits for field data collection.
• Contribute to designs for utility and renewable energy clients.
