Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for substation projects with high voltage focus, including protection, control, and physical yard design. The role involves developing schematics, equipment specs, and BOMs while interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

The position offers hybrid work arrangements after an initial period, with opportunities for travel to client sites and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 1 year of related work experience minimum.
• HV substation design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation designs including physical design and protection & controls.
• Develop protection and control deliverables and schematics.
• Prepare equipment specifications and BOMs for procurement.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Support QA/QC and design budgets/schedules.
• Mentor entry level professionals and interns.
