Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Electrical Engineering (Substation) Intern for our Syracuse, NY office. This full-time summer internship is for currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students and runs as part of a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027, with flexible start date.

You will engage in a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills, learn basic electrical engineering principles, assist with design calculations and project documentation, and participate in

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate or related program with a 2027 graduation date or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.
• Strong interest in Electrical Engineering and related field.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions from leadership and mentors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and provisions.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
