Job summary

HDR Engineering seeks a Substation EIT/Substation Designer to join our Power Delivery team. You will assist with engineering drawings, calculations, analyses and substation designs under supervision of senior engineers.

A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is required; EIT preferred for career progression. Local Idaho (Boise) or Montana (Billings) candidates encouraged, with occasional travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses and designs for electrical substations under supervision of senior engineers.
• Work with Project Managers and Engineers to develop drawings in accordance with design standards and project specs.
• Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings; coordinate with CAD Technicians and Designers.
• Occasional short travel to project sites (1–5 days) as needed.
