Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Coordinator/EIT to join the Power Delivery team, with responsibilities spanning from simple device replacements to greenfield substation designs. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and grow through hands-on design experience.

The role involves preparing drawings, calculations, diagrams, and reports for HV substations, while working under senior guidance. Travel may be required as projects evolve.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• EIT certification preferred or obtainable in a reasonable time frame.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations under guidance of senior engineers.
• Work on protection and control (indoor) and outdoor HV substation design.
• Collaborate with Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s) on assignments.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematic development, and substations layouts including SCADA and communications.
• Compute sizes for conduits and cables, and prepare material lists.
• Travel short-term or longer-term as project assignments require.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
