Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Electrical EIT/Designer in Virginia to help shape power delivery projects. You will conduct analyses, develop design options, and assist in delivering engineering drawing packages and specifications.

You will work with Project Engineers, other EITs, Designers, or BIM specialists on small to mid-size projects, with opportunities to grow in a employee-owned culture and a broad, community-focused Power sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office are required.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options and assist in preparing project deliverables.
• Perform routine engineering assignments applying standard techniques.
• Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects or with senior engineers on larger ones.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
