Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Substation Engineer in the Baltimore/Washington DC area to lead and execute complex substation projects, performing detailed quality reviews and providing guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities include engineering design studies for civil/structural, physical or P&C substation work, QA/QC reviews, and coordination with project managers and technical leads. Travel up to 15% within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in Civil/structural, physical substation or P&C support related to electrical power substation design.

Responsibilities

• Quality: Conduct QA/QC reviews following procedures and support development of engineers.
• Engineering Design: perform studies, calculations and design reviews for civil/structural, physical or P&C substation work.
• Collaboration & Coordination: work with substation engineers, PMs and leads to coordinate design services.
• Project Leadership: lead complex projects from proposal through design, procurement, bidding and energization.
• Technical Team Direction: direct a project team in structural steel and concrete analysis and detailing.
