Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks a Sr. Engineer with strong Protection & Control (P&C) experience to design, develop, and execute substation and power system projects.

You will lead P&C design and technical implementation for substations, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and oversee project lifecycle from concept through commissioning. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of substation engineering experience, familiarity with NERC/PRC standards and IEEE guidelines, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of substation engineering experience with a focus on P&C.
• Familiarity with NERC/PRC standards and IEEE guidelines.
• Experience coordinating designs through interdisciplinary reviews.
• PE license or ability to obtain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and technical execution of P&C systems for substations (typically 4kV–500kV).
• Develop and review project deliverables and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to meet milestones.
• Support project lifecycle activities from concept through commissioning.
• Perform equipment selection and specification (relays, CTs/PTs, breakers, SCADA integration).
• Conduct peer reviews, QA/QC, and ensure compliance with standards such as NERC/IEEE/NEC.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, including troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
