Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Control Electrician C to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation electrical equipment in the Charlotte area. The role requires knowledge of 525 kV and below gear, PLC logic, and the ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights.

You may work independently or with others and may be needed for long hours during emergencies. You will install, test and troubleshoot switchgear, transformers, control panels, and related cabling, while

Qualifications

Ability to perform rigorous physical labor.
Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 60 feet.
Possess or able to obtain a CDL.
Own hand tools required by the company.
Safety toed work boots required.
Capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
Able to work in confined spaces/areas.
Willing to travel 90%.
Knowledge of substation drawings (conduit details, cable schedules, schematics) is helpful.
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot substation equipment including transformers, breakers, and control panels.
Perform testing, adjustment and repair of control circuits and devices.
Maintain company vehicles and test equipment in good working order.
Adhere to company safety rules and OSHA standards during all tasks.
Travel up to 90% and coordinate jobs with team members.
