Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Substation Construction Foreman to supervise a crew of technicians and laborers across the southeastern U.S. You will set work sequences, manage materials and equipment, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to contract requirements.

You will read blueprints, coordinate across trades, and enforce FB Timberlines safety expectations while mentoring junior staff and maintaining high quality on every site visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in substation construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and contract drawings.
• Must pass a background check, including drug screen.
• Experience with control cable, conductor, and electrical equipment installation and testing.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a substation crew across the southeastern U.S.
• Establish and adjust work schedules to meet project timelines.
• Organize materials, manpower, and equipment for projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and plans.
• Lead safety standards and conduct quality inspections on site.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
• Mentor and coach junior workers on site.
