Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Substation Construction Foreman to supervise a crew of technicians and laborers across the southeastern U.S. You will organize materials, set schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to spec.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with other crafts, and mentor junior workers. Strong leadership, experience in substation construction, and OSHA 10 are essential for this onsite role.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in substation construction.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing substation equipment, foundations, and structures (brownfield & greenfield).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Must pass a background check, including drug screen.
• Experience pulling control cable and conductor.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, transits, electrical safety tools, small and heavy equipment.
• Experience studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
• Experience reading contract drawings.
• Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components.
• Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, wiring, cable, equipment, components, and devices following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.
• Ability to lead, instruct, and train workers.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• OSHA 10
