Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support design and development of new or modified substations in Florida. The role is based in Lake Mary with hybrid work options and relocation assistance may be offered.

Two levels (Engineer III or Senior Engineer) provide a path from developing advanced skills to independent project leadership. Engineer III focuses on progressively complex problems with supervision, while Senior Engineer leads with minimal supervision, mentors others, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program required.
• Minimum of four years of related engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the BS.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering/technical guidance for complex problems and long-term impact.
• Plans, organizes, estimates, schedules and monitors work with limited standardization.
• Prepares technical reports, calculations and sketches; suggests process enhancements and standards.
• Conducts engineering studies and manages projects with technical responsibility.
