Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Specialist (IOP Facilitator) to facilitate groups in our Whiteville outpatient clinic. CADC or LCASA certification preferred; CADC or provisional licensure.

Responsibilities: screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapy for adults and youths; documentation under supervision. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm onsite.

Qualifications

• CADC required or LCAS-A provisional licensure preferred
• Minimum 2 years of substance use services experience
• Proficient with EHR systems or tech-savvy
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Facilitate group therapy for adults and youth with substance use needs

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Substance Use Disorder Specialist (CADC or LCASA), you will provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapeutic services to adults and children with substance use needs. This role involves facilitating group therapy, collaborating with clinical teams and referral sources, and supporting clients through aftercare planning and community referrals. The SUD Specialist also ensures accurate documentation, supports crisis intervention, and promotes a safe, therapeutic environment. Services are provided under clinical supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive rate: Starting from $22.60 per hour and up for CADC | $49,000 and up for LCAS-A

What We’re Looking For

• Skills: Knowledge of therapeutic practices, group facilitation techniques, as well as problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.
• Licensure/Certification: CADC required or Provisional Licensure preferred: LCAS-A
• 2 years of experience in Substance Use services
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel
