Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Specialist (CADC or LCAS-A) to deliver screening, assessment, treatment planning, and IOP coverage in our outpatient clinic. You will work with adults and children, facilitate group therapy, coordinate with clinical teams, and support clients through aftercare and community referrals under clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Substance Use services.
• CADC certification required; LCAS-A provisional licensure preferred.
• Valid driver's license, insurance and transportation for travel.

Responsibilities

• Screening, assessment, and treatment planning for adults and children with substance use needs.
• IOP coverage and facilitation of group therapy.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and referral sources; document accurately.
• Support clients through aftercare planning and community referrals.
• Provide crisis intervention and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
