Job summary

Helio Health, Inc. seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join the Inpatient Detox program in a full-time role.

You will manage a caseload and perform counseling duties including screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, patient education, and case management. The position reports to the Inpatient Detox program and requires collaboration with staff while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• CASAC-T required or CASAC-P eligible.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of addiction and counseling principles.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of patients seeking treatment for substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Perform counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
• Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Substance Use Disorder Counselor will review of main responsibilities. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Health’sInpatient Detox program.

The schedule will be Tuesday- Saturday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500 depending on licensure!

Pay Rate: $20.19 - $24.20 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.

Qualifications

• Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
• Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
