Job summary

Helio Health, Inc. seeks a dependable Counselor Aide to support residents with mental health issues and chemical addictions. The role is full-time at the Insights Residential Rehabilitation and Stabilization Program, with a focus on counseling-related tasks and patient education.

Two schedules are available: 7:30am–4:00pm and 3:30pm–12:00am. A sign-on incentive of up to $1,500 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or human services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with counseling responsibilities: screening, intake, orientation, referral, counseling, crisis response, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
• Participates in program administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
• Represents the agency to the community.
• Performs quality assurance activities.
• Displays knowledge of addiction/recovery and behavioral health concepts.

Overview

Helio Health, one of Central NY’s premier behavioral healthcare providers, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Counselor Aide. TheCounselor Aide is responsible to operate as a team member in providing services to residents with mental health issues and chemical addictions. This position is vital in supporting our patients’ success in their treatment and allows for many long-term career opportunities!

This particular opportunity will work on a Full-Time basis at our Insights Residential Rehabilitation and Stabilization Program.

Multiple Schedules Available:

7:30am - 4:00pm

3:30pm - 12:00am

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $1,500!

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the following counseling responsibilities: screening, intake, orientation, referral, counseling, crisis response, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping, and consultation with other professionals.


• Participates in program administrative and clinical committees as assigned.


• Represents the agency to the community.


• Performs quality assurance activities.


• Displays knowledge of addiction/recovery and/or behavioral health self-help group processes and principles of counseling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.


• Customer service and/or human services experience preferred.


• Valid NYS Driver’s License, based on service settings.
