Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to deliver high-quality individual and group counseling for opioid use disorder. The role emphasizes MAT familiarity, evidence-based practices, and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers full-time hours, opportunities for professional supervision, CEUs, and growth within a leading MAT provider in Layton, Utah.

Qualifications

• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient, residential, or correctional).
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices like CBT and MI.
• Documentation experience including clinical notes and treatment plans.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2).
• Strong communication and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling with compassion and quality care.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care and incidents.
• Create individual treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments and referrals as needed.
