Job summary

Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center in Layton, Utah, part of Acadia Healthcare’s network, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling within an outpatient MAT program. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's or Master’s in social/health services, experience in addiction recovery, and familiarity with MAT and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social or health services is required.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) and evidence-based practices like CBT/MI.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Maintain timely, clear documentation of care, treatment and incidents.
