BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor to support patients in outpatient settings. The role involves assisting with medically assisted programs, conducting individual and group sessions, and collaborating with clinical staff for optimal outcomes.

The candidate will evaluate progress, assist with crisis management, and contribute to aftercare planning, while adhering to program policies and maintaining a non-judgmental stance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year counseling experience.
• Master’s degree in Behavioral Science with at least 1 year counseling experience.
• Associate’s degree or high school diploma with current CAC/CADC/CADC II or LADC II certification and 1 year supervision.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility.
• Facilitates initial treatment plan development and reviews with each patient.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours; coordinate services.
• Involve families in the recovery process whenever possible.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
