Access: Supports for Living in Mt. Vernon, NY, seeks a Substance Use Specialist to provide counseling and education for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. You will maintain a caseload, deliver individual and group counseling, and participate in treatment planning within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current CASAC or CASAC-T credential required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with experience.
• Valid NYS driver’s license required.
• Bilingual Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Yiddish a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a caseload of 12–15 participants and provide case management services.
• Perform intake interviews and evaluate appropriateness for treatment.
• Complete bio-psycho-social assessments and treatment plans, and other required reporting.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based approaches.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and community resources.
