Groups Recover Together in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Counselor to lead group therapy sessions and be a vital part of our member-centered care teams. You’ll work in a mission-driven environment where compassion and human connection drive real transformation.

You’ll facilitate 3-4 one-hour group sessions daily using a structured, evidence-based curriculum, collaborate with prescribers and recovery coaches, and monitor outcomes to support a recovery-oriented environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active Maine behavioral health licensure or certification (LADC, CADC, CCS, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) and reciprocity readiness.
• Minimum two years of group therapy leadership in a SUD setting.
• Comfort with technology: EMR, Telehealth, Google apps, mobile apps.

Salary Range: $62,245 - $72,628.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 11:30 AM-7:00 PM; Wednesday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead 3-4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a "plug and play" approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• An active Maine behavioral health licensure or certification including but not limited to: LADC, CADC, CCS, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states
• Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
