Job summary

Groups Recover Together, Inc. seeks a Counselor in Virginia to lead six one-hour group therapy sessions weekly, using a structured curriculum, and support a recovery-oriented environment for members.

You will collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches, document outcomes, and engage in local outreach while working 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Virginia licensure: LPC/LCSW/CSAC/LSATP/LMFT or assoc status with reciprocity willingness.
• Minimum two years leading groups in SUD setting.
• Proficient with EMR, Telehealth, Google tools.

What You'll Do

• Lead 6 one-hour group therapy sessions weekly using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a "plug and play" approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups' mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Active behavioral health licensure in Virginia including but not limited to: LPC, LCSW, CSAC, LSATP, LMFT and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states
• Minimum two years' leading groups in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
