Job summary

Groups Recover Together in Bridgeport, WV seeks a Counselor to lead structured group therapy sessions and participate in member-centered care teams.

You’ll facilitate evidence-based group discussions, collaborate with prescribers and recovery staff, and help monitor outcomes while promoting a recovery-focused environment. A Master’s degree and licensure are required or pursued, with 2+ years leading groups in SUD settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Active behavioral health licensure (ADC/AADC/LPC/LICSW) preferred/in-state reciprocity possible.
• Minimum two years’ experience leading groups in SUD settings.
• Strong tech comfort with EMR, Telehealth tools, Google products, and mobile apps.

Salary Range:

$53,041 - $63,565 * Based on experience, and education

Schedule

4-day workweek, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.


• Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.


• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.


• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.


• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.


• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.


• Preferred: Active behavioral health licensure including but not limited to: ADC, AADC, LPC, LICSW and associate level status with ability and willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states


• Minimum two years’ leading groups in a SUD setting.


• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.


• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.


• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.


• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
