Job summary

Groups Recover Together in Washington state is seeking a Counselor to lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions daily using a structured, evidence-based curriculum. You will collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches to support member recovery within our clinical framework.

The role requires an active independent WA license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or SUDP), at least two years of group leadership in a SUD setting, and comfort with EMR/Telehealth and Google tools.

Qualifications

• Active, fully independent WA license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or SUDP).
• Minimum two years leading groups in a substance use disorder setting.
• Comfort with technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Docs/Sheets/Drive).
• Compassion, collaboration, and commitment to quality care for members.
• Evening availability 2–3 nights per week up to 9pm.

Compensation: $60,000 - $78,000

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Qualifications

• Salary range: $58,000-$81,000 / year * Based on experience, and education
• Schedule:
• An active fully independent WA license: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT and/or Certified SUDP (Substance Use Disorder Professional)
• Minimum two years’ leading groups in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
