Job summary

The Willamette Family Downtown Eugene facility is seeking a Substance Abuse Assessment Counselor for a full-time, in-person role. The position offers a 40-hour workweek with a 12:00pm–8:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, at our downtown campus in Eugene, OR.

You will collect and compile information to assess service needs, document findings, initiate referrals, and engage individuals in services while upholding legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• CADC I certification or CADC-R near certification.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Position Summary

The Substance Abuse Assessment Counselor position is full-time (40 hours/ week) and in-person. Position is located at our Willamette Family Downtown Treatment facility in Eugene, OR!

The Assessment/Entry and Engagement Counselor is responsible for collecting and compiling sufficient information to assess and determine the appropriate need for services, document the results of findings, initiate referrals, and engage individuals in services. Assurance of legal and ethical standards. Overall assurance that service delivery is consistent with the agency’s mission.

This position will be cross-trained with other department positions. Duties may include performing functions of other positions on any given workday such as intake and customer service.

Shift & Days

Monday through Friday, 12:00pm to 8:30pm

Compensation

Starting wage: $26.57 / hour

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• CADC I Certification or Above, CADC- R Candidates close to certifying may be considered.
• High school / GED Completion
