Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a counselor to develop and facilitate the Center's alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program, educate students, and counsel to reduce drug-related separations from the program.

The role includes case management to support retention, HIPAA compliance, coordinating community resources, administering drug testing, and mentoring students toward success in the Job Corps program.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field is required.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information and adherence to HIPAA laws.

Responsibilities

• Develops and facilitates alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention activities.
• Educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program.
• Develops and coordinates community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse.
• Administers drug testing program to promote a drug-free environment.
• Provides substance abuse counseling and education and mentors students toward success in the Job Corps program.
