Job summary

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is seeking a Counselor to assist patients in identifying and leveraging strengths to achieve social, educational, and occupational goals. You will support patients in preparing for a drug-free life, providing emotional and physical support while ensuring adherence to schedules and program policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Licensure: ADDC, LPCC, MFTC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LCSW, LPC.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions.
• Orient patients to treatment program operations and procedures.
• Collect and assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintaining records.
• Make referrals and perform follow-ups.
• Coordinate care with community providers as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and documentation.
• Attend trainings and conferences.
• Schedule and attend in-service training.
