Job summary

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is seeking a Counselor in Colorado to help patients identify strengths and work toward social, educational, and occupational goals. You will support drug-free life efforts, provide emotional and physical support, and ensure compliance with schedules and regulations under supervision.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with healthcare teams to implement new programs and ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Current counseling credentials preferred per state regulations.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions as required.
• Orient patients to treatment program operations and procedures.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintaining comprehensive records.
• Make appropriate referrals and perform necessary follow-ups.
• Coordinate care with community providers as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and inter-agency documentation.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and training programs.
