Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is a leading provider of opioid addiction treatment services with a large network of centers. We are seeking a Counselor to help patients identify strengths and achieve social, educational, and occupational goals while supporting recovery.

You will ensure schedules, policies, and regulatory requirements are followed, performing duties within your license or certification. The role involves conducting counseling, developing treatment plans, making referrals,

Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions and use proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues.
• Ability to deal with patients and team members in stressful or undesirable situations and seek direction when necessary.
• Must react quickly and make effective decisions.
• Knowledge of human behavior to aid rehabilitation of drug dependent patients.
• Understanding of substance abuse population and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions.
• Orient patients to treatment program operations and procedures.
• Collect and assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans and maintain records.
• Make referrals and perform follow-ups.
• Coordinate care with community providers as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and inter-agency documentation.
• Attend trainings and keep compliance with regulatory requirements.
