Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor at Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham, VA.

This role provides intensive drug treatment services to inmates and requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and Virginia CSAC certification within two years. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:15 am–4:15 pm; pay rate starts at $28.846/hr ($60,000 annually) with a higher rate of $31.25/hr ($65,000 annually for certified candidates).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services required.
• State CSAC certification in Virginia or equivalent within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating group programming and meetings, individual counseling sessions, case management services, and clinical documentation.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established timeframes.
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, and conferences.
• Coordinate with Virginia Department of Corrections to ensure quality delivery of services.
