Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems seeks a SUD Social Worker at Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham, VA. You will provide clinical services, assessments, and case management to inmates, and lead group therapy in compliance with licensing and DOC rules.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of supervised counseling. Licensure (LICSW/LCSW/LMHC/LPC) or CSAC/CADC preferred; DOC and MAT experience preferred. Strong knowledge of community resources is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a clinical or related field and at least two years of supervised counseling experience.
• Licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC) or CSAC/CADC certification preferred.
• DOC experience preferred.
• Medication Assisted Treatment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local/regional community resources for substance use recovery and reentry stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring patient compliance with program and Department of Corrections rules.
• Performing assessments and evaluating inmates’ needs.
• Providing quality clinical services and case management to inmates.
• Providing group treatment using Spectrum curriculum.
• Completing required documentation within established timeframes.
• Maintaining CORIS screens and records per policies.
• Participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning and meetings.
• Maintaining current clinical skills and licensure as required.
• Preparing and submitting required reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology / social work / related field
