Job summary

AppleOne is seeking a Housing Project Manager to oversee daily operations for federally subsidized housing projects in the San Juan, PR area. The role requires coordination of occupancy, tenant selection, and property administration with strict HUD/Section 8 compliance.

The position is temp-to-hire with a typical Monday–Friday schedule, offering major medical, dental, vision, a 401k plan, and sick pay where required. Strong organization and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of progressive experience in administrative operations, housing administration, property management, or comparable responsibilities.
• Knowledge of regulations governing federally subsidized housing programs (HUD/Section 8).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and coordinate daily operations for subsidized housing projects, including occupancy processes.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, PRHFA, Section 8, and applicable policies and regulations.
• Review tenant documentation, conduct file quality audits, and support reporting and recordkeeping.
• Monitor rent collection procedures and help maintain housing projects.
• Participate in internal and regulatory audits and prepare work plans and reports.
