Job summary

Claritev in the United States seeks a Subrogation Specialist to develop cases after initial investigation, coordinate claim payments among health plans, and recover 1st party funds. You will interact with insurers, providers, patients, and attorneys to confirm viability and prepare cases for negotiation.

The role requires a confident phone presence, strong organization, and adherence to HIPAA. You will work across teams to drive timely resolution and accurate record-keeping in a high-risk,

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with 2+ years in subrogation, collections, COB, or insurance coordination experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office and internet research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Licenses, certifications, and/or board certifications as applicable.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment with typical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop subrogation opportunities by gathering information and researching potential recovery sources.
• Validate claim viability and respond to communications in a timely manner.
• Send demand letters and keep stakeholders informed.
• Proactively obtain case information and maintain detailed records to drive settlement readiness.
• Collaborate with negotiators and paralegals to resolve and transfer cases as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws and maintain quality standards.
