Job summary

Cotiviti is hiring a Subrogation Recovery Specialist in the United States. You will analyze and recover dollars for accident, injury, or illness-related cases, coordinating with attorneys, adjusters, and providers to maximize settlements.

Responsibilities include case management, documentation review, and negotiations. A strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance and professional communication is required to protect PHI while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in a Legal office is a plus; paralegal or legal assistant and/or experience in the insurance industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• HIPAA privacy and security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of cases with accurate notes from creation to recovery.
• Maintain timely information to move cases through the workflow.
• Confirm eligibility documentation for beneficiaries.
• Review and update case documents as needed.
• Verify third party liability and beneficiary asset research.
• Interact professionally with attorneys, adjusters, providers, and recipients.
• Prepare correspondence, liens, and related documents to progress recovery.
• Negotiate and settle claims per guidelines.
• Process disputes and review claims with stakeholders.
• Conduct periodic case status follow-ups and payments.
• Perform document review to track status, research, and progression.
• Prioritize events and meet deadlines impacting revenue.
