Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a Sr./Specialist in Submarine Operations Technical Lead to provide technical guidance and oversight of LTD products for shipboard use. You will coordinate with EB engineering and Navy customers, and lead a writing group to ensure accuracy and timely updates.

The role requires submarine qualification, 5+ years in related work, and DoD clearance. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential to manage priorities and deliver high-quality manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or completion of Nuclear Power School.
• Submarine qualification (SS) LT/above or CPO/above.
• 5+ years operating, maintaining, or documenting submarine ship systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Active SECRET clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and oversight of LTD products and writing teams.
• Ensure quality of submarine manuals and adherence to procedures.
• Interface with EB Engineering, shipyard, vendors, and Navy to resolve technical issues.
• Attend kickoff meetings, evaluate designs, and estimate department man-hours for updates.
• Set priorities with supervision, develop schedules, and manage workload.
