Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat offers a summer internship in Material Control/Logistics at the Groton, CT shipyard. Interns will work with senior staff to support submarine module construction and material management for COLUMIA and VIRGINIA class programs, gaining hands-on experience in a defense environment.

Participants will develop skills in logistics management, data reporting, and process improvement while learning from mentors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of eight consecutive weeks between May 2027 and September 2027.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support construction of submarine modules for COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA class submarines.
• Assist with design, construction and KPI reporting to optimize program performance.
• Maintain warehouse and buffer storage for all Submarine Programs.
