Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat's Combat and Weapons Systems (CWS) Summer Internship in Groton, CT invites motivated students to contribute to submarine systems engineering. You'll work with senior engineers on various projects and gain hands-on experience across NPES, sonar, control, and software tasks.

The program runs for eight weeks in Summer 2027, requires US citizenship, medical screening, and a drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
• At minimum students must have completed their Freshman year prior to the start of the internship.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks May–September 2027.
• Selected candidates will be responsible for housing and transportation for the duration of their internship.
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
