Job summary

Serco Inc. in Reston, VA seeks a Submarine Development Professional to join the Keel to Career program supporting the U.S. Navy on the Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office.

You will contribute to design, development, testing and vendor coordination for critical defense systems. This role offers exposure to structural, materials, electrical and propulsion topics with a mentor-guided rotational path that aids resume development and career growth.

Qualifications

• At least one year in an accredited university’s engineering, technology, computer science or science.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a job rotational program to learn various aspects of submarine engineering, design, research and development.
• Engage in multiple areas such as structural systems, materials, electrical and propulsion systems.
• Gain familiarity with submarine construction, QA programs and Navy risk management.
