Job summary

Serco is seeking a Mechanical Electrical Engineer (Submarine Electrical Engineer) to join a senior technical team in the Washington, DC area supporting U.S. Navy submarines.

You will monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot submarine electrical systems, develop maintenance and technical documentation, and guide decisions with experienced engineering input. Qualified candidates will have DoD or Armed Services experience, an active security clearance or ability to obtain one, and a degree in Electrical

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain
• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in DoD/Armed Services or equivalent
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in teams and under deadlines
• Travel up to 10% of time

Responsibilities

• Develop/review PMP Operations manuals, PMS procedures, and System Health reports
• Review engineering drawings on-site and provide recommendations
• Prepare briefs for decision makers up to Flag level
• Coordinate IPT activities and support Integrated Product Teams
• Provide Technical Authority in in-service submarine classes
• Oversee CBM and RCM engineering practices and problem resolution
• Ensure systems engineering processes are applied during life cycle
