Job summary

Serco Inc. in Maryland seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Navy’s Submarine COLUMBIA program and related HMCCS integration.

You will drive requirements development, system design, testing, and verification, reporting to the SIT leads and coordinating with NAVSEA and partner agencies. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field, at least 5 years of engineering experience, strong communication, multitasking ability, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support design and integration of SCS and HMCCS per Ship Building Specifications.
• Lead or participate in System Engineering processes including requirements development, design, testing, and verification.
• Coordinate with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD, and Naval Warfare Centers to meet milestones.
• Manage risk, budgets, and engineering staff as required.
