Job summary

Serco Inc. in the Bethesda area seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the US Navy's Virginia Class Submarine Program. You will lead system integration coordination, manage requirements alignment, and guide cross-disciplinary engineering teams in a fast paced, defense-focused environment.

The role requires active DoD clearance, U.S. citizenship, a technical degree, and 15 years of related experience. You will interact with program leadership, review technical deliverables, and help ensure

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, physics, etc) or equivalent
• 15 years of experience in relevant domains
• Excellent communications and analytical skills; able to brief senior leaders and influence program milestones
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and related tools
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Support NEWCON development and certification activities for Virginia Class Submarines within PMS450.
• Lead System Integration Team (SIT) coordination, providing technical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Manage requirements alignment and ensure consistency across program documentation.
• Coordinate and support test and evaluation planning and execution activities.
• Review engineering deliverables for alignment with requirements and standards.
• Provide systems engineering analysis in coordination with program leadership and the Technical Director.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders to align system requirements and program objectives.
• Interface with PMS450 and related stakeholders for technical inquiries and information exchange.
• Participate in technical meetings and briefings to resolve system integration issues.
• Support tasking tracking, issue identification and resolution; ensure documentation routing and concurrence.
• Maintain Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to support design certification readiness for NEWCON.
• Provide support for configuration management and design certification activities.
• Apply root cause analysis to resolve system-level issues.
